In an effort to provide families’ with greater choice, HGRA has implemented online registration for its youth sports programs. Registration for youth activities can now be done online or in person.

Online Registration
To take advantage of online registration, you must first become a registered user on the HGRA website. You will be asked for various pieces of information related to you and your family. It is this information that will prompt you when a sport is available for your participant(s). All information obtained online is secure and confidential.

When registering online, you may choose to pay registration fees using a credit card, check card, debit card. Any check payment has to be completed using the paper registration form.

Upon completion of the registration process, you will receive a confirmation email detailing your registration and league information.

In-Person Registration
As in the past, you may register participants in person. Specifics for in-person registration will be posted on our website as soon as they are known. It is not necessary to become a registered user on the HGRA website if you choose to register using the in-person method of registration. However, there are several features on the website that will be available to registered users only. These include things such as team rosters, game schedules, and standings. The address and email information that you provide in the user registration process will be used to keep you up-to-date with upcoming activities, announcements, and other communications. There is no cost to becoming a registered user on the HGRA website.

All registrations include a $5.00 non-refundable administrative fee. Refunds are at the sole discretion of the League Director and may be pro-rated to cover the cost of equipment/uniforms purchases.

A $50.00 fee for each activity ($40.00 for the running clinic) must accompany the online registration.

Registrations must be postmarked or entered online by March 16, 2009. Late registrations are placed on a waiting list with no guarantee of placement on a roster.

Late fees of $10.00 per child per activity must accompany any registration not postmarked by March 16, 2009. Late paper registrations without the late fee will be returned; on-line registrations without the late fee will not be accepted into the system.

Except for waiting list kids not placed, there are no refunds after March 16, 2009. A $5.00 service fee is charged on all refunds.

If your child qualifies for a reduced lunch or rec center fee, call or e-mail us to request a financial assistance form.

  
 
  Buddy Requests   Minimize
   
A child may request to play on the same team as one friend. The child's name must be properly requested on the friend's registration form also. If registering online, the site only accepts one buddy name. Multiple or sequential requests (child A with child B, child B with child C, etc.) are never granted. Siblings are always buddied unless a specific request not to do so is made.

Two adults may ask to coach together. Their kids are automatically buddied and no other buddy request will be considered.

Our buddy policy is not about friends playing together. It just lets every child have at least one familiar face on the team, and it streamlines team formation. Buddy requests that do not follow this policy are not granted,

Please don’t call to ask us to waive this rule for your child. We’re busy registering over 2,300 players and will not respond. However - the majority of our players don’t sign up with buddies and they still all have a great time.

So, call your friends and neighbors now! Don’t wait and miss out when they make other arrangements.
