Directions and Parking
(Camp for Swoop’s High Flyers - Ages 10-13 and Eagles in Training – Ages 14+)
Emory's main campus is located a few miles from downtown Atlanta in the Druid Hills neighborhood, between the Virginia Highlands and city of Decatur.
From Interstate 20 Eastbound
Take exit 60-B, the Moreland Avenue North exit. Turn right on Moreland and follow it approximately 3 miles. Moreland will change to Briarcliff Road once it crosses Ponce de Leon Avenue. Continue straight on Briarcliff approximately 2 miles to North Decatur Road. Turn right and follow North Decatur 1/2 mile to Oxford Road. Turn left on Oxford Rd. to go down the hill and take your second left onto Eagle Row into the back gates of the Emory campus. Proceed straight ahead on the campus road to a stop sign, about 200 yards ahead. Go straight and stay on Eagle Row. Take your next right at the sign for the George W. Woodruff PE Center. This will take you to the drop-off and pick-up parking circle.*
From Interstate 20 Westbound

From Interstate 75 North or Southbound
Take exit 248-C, the Freedom Parkway exit. Cross Boulevard; continue on Freedom Parkway until it ends at Ponce de Leon Avenue; then turn right. Off Ponce, turn left on Briarcliff Road. Go approximately 2 miles to North Decatur Road. Turn right and follow North Decatur 1/2 mile to Oxford Road. Turn left on Oxford Rd. to go down the hill and take your second left onto Eagle Row into the back gates of the Emory campus. From Interstate 85 Northbound and Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport
The airport is located in the southwest section of the city, approximately 25 minutes from the Emory University campus. Visitors driving from the airport should take I-85 North. To Emory from Interstate 85 North, take exit 248-C, the Freedom Parkway exit. Cross Boulevard; continue on Freedom Parkway until it ends at Ponce de Leon Avenue; then turn right. Off Ponce, turn left on Briarcliff Road. Go approximately 2 miles to North Decatur Road. Turn right and follow North Decatur 1/2 mile to Oxford Road. Turn left on Oxford Rd. to go down the hill and take your second left onto Eagle Row into the back gates of the Emory campus. Take exit 91, the Clairmont Road exit. Turn left (east) on Clairmont and follow it approximately 3 miles past the Veteran's Affairs Hospital to North Decatur Road to North Decatur Road. Turn right and follow North Decatur approximately one mile to the Emory campus. Go past Clifton Road. Turn right at the second light after Clifton at the five-way intersection into the main gate of Emory onto Dowman Drive. Proceed straight ahead on the campus road to a stop sign, about 200 yards ahead, at the bottom of a hill. At the stop sign, turn right onto Eagle Row. Proceed straight ahead to a stop sign, about 200 yards ahead. Go straight and stay on Eagle Row. Take your next right at the sign for the George W. Woodruff PE Center. This will take you to the drop-off and pick-up parking circle.*
From Georgia 400 Southbound
Take 400 to I-85 North. On I-85 North, take the North Druid Hills Road Exit (Exit 89) and turn right at the end of the exit ramp. Take North Druid Hills past Briarcliff Road and past LaVista Road. Turn right onto Clairmont Road. Take Clairmont Road past the Veteran's Affairs Hospital to North Decatur Road. Turn right on North Decatur. Go past Clifton Road. Turn right and follow North Decatur approximately one mile to the Emory campus. From Stone Mountain Expressway (Highway 78) Westbound
Inside I-285, Highway 78 merges with Highway 29 becoming Scott Boulevard. Take Scott Boulevard for about a mile. Turn right off Scott Boulevard onto North Decatur Road. Go past Clairmont Road. Go past Clifton Road. Turn right at the second light after Clifton at the five-way intersection into the main gate of Emory onto Dowman Drive. Proceed straight ahead on the campus road to a stop sign, about 200 yards ahead, at the bottom of a hill. At the stop sign, turn right onto Eagle Row. Proceed straight ahead to a stop sign, about 200 yards ahead. Go straight and stay on Eagle Row. Take your next right at the sign for the George W. Woodruff PE Center. This will take you to the drop-off and pick-up parking circle.*
MARTA
The Emory campus is accessible from the Lindbergh MARTA station and the Candler Park station on the No. 6: Emory bus or from the Arts Center station and the Avondale station on the No. 36: North Decatur bus.
*Please note You may not leave your cars unattended in the traffic circle at the Woodruff PE Center. If you need to come to the courts or enter the building (as you will need to do on the first day of camp), you must park in the Peavine Parking Deck (directly across from the pick-up and drop-off traffic circle).
