At Bryant Camps, LLC, safety is our top priority.
Some of our safety measures include:
- A Certified Athletic Trainer is on-staff to handle all injuries and emergency situations.
- The swimming pools at the SAAC and WoodPec have Certified Lifeguards on duty at all times we are in the pool. In addition, counselors are spread out around the pool monitoring campers.
- On the first day of camp, all campers must pass a swim test in order to swim in the pool and use the high dives. At the SAAC, there is a wading pool open to campers who do not pass the test.
- Counselors take roll and/or perform head checks when a camper is dropped off, when camp officially starts each day, before and after lunch, before and after pool time and when campers are picked up at the end of each day.
-Swoop's Starters (Ages 5-9) can only be picked up in a car that has an indentification tag displayed in the windshield. We distribute these tags on the first day of camp. If a car does not have a tag, we require an ID check and we must have the appropriate name on file to match.
- We adhere to the CDC Tips for Preventing Heat-Related Illness. For more information click here.
- Our Certified Athletic Trainer has access to a lightning alert system, as do the Certified Lifeguards. In case of inclement weather, campers will be moved inside.
- All staff have passed a background check . In addition, they have been schooled in the “Safe Kids” Child Safety program.
