Eagles in Training is a camp for ages 14-18 of all levels.  We enjoy working with many high school teams at this camp.  Camp is available all four weeks of June at the WoodPec.

 

Eagles in Training is an organized camp providing intense college level training.

Campers will take their game to the next level in just one week! 

 

Each camper's strokes will be reinforced while being introduced to effective singles match strategy. Additionally, doubles skills and positioning will be a point of focus.

8:30am Courts Available for Warm-up

9:00am Morning and Full-Day Sessions Begin

9:00-9:15am Warm-Up & Stretching

9:15-10:30am On-Court Drilling

10:30-10:45am Break

10:45-11:30am Point Play & Games

11:30-12pm Conditioning

12:00pm Morning Session Ends; Full-Day Session Continues

12:00-12:45pm Lunch*

12:45-1:00pm Strategy Lecture**

1:00-1:30pm Weight Lifting & Strength Training

1:30-3:15pm Match Play – Davis Cup or Tournament Format

3:15-4:00pm Swimming or More match play

4:00pm Camp Ends

Eagles in Training will enjoy camp at the Woodruff Physical Education Center (WoodPec) on Emory’s Main Campus. Most training for this camp will take place on the indoor tennis courts.

Tuesday an Emory Admissions counselor speaks to the group about the overall college admissions process

Wednesday a strength and conditioning coach speaks to the group on the importance of core strength training for tennis

Thursday a nutritionist speaks to the group about eating for peak performances

Monday and Friday a college coach speaks about playing singles and doubles using proven strategy techniques
