Adaptive Soccer Division

Bedford Rec Soccer announces the addition of an “Adaptive” Soccer Program for Bedford children ages 5-18 with physical and/or mental disabilities.  This Program will emphasize meaningful participation, teamwork and fun.  We will teach the basic fundamentals of the game of soccer, while encouraging our athletes to develop their technical skills as well as building self-esteem.

Each player will have a buddy who will assist them on the field.  The buddies will instruct and encourage the players, while providing individual accommodations, to ensure the safety and full enjoyment of the game.

The Adaptive Soccer Program will begin the week after Labor Day and run for 8 consecutive weeks.  We will have one weeknight practice and one game on Saturdays.  Details on days/time will be announced soon.  

Registration for Fall 2009 is now open and will only be available online. To register your child click (“Adaptive Soccer”). The cost is $80 per player.

This Division is supported by volunteers, which are vital to our success.  

We are in need of Coaches and Asst. Coaches with soccer experience.

We are also in need of Youth Buddies.  Buddies will have the opportunity to receive community service credit as well as a wonderful life experience.
