President
(Frank Muhl):
  • Went over Items that board voted on through email.
    • Item 3- “Appoint Pat Cingal for Tournament Committee Chairperson” is to be tabled until the March meeting.
    • Item #1- “Accept Holly’s Resignation from the In-House Director Position” is accepted by the Board as a whole.
    • Item # 2- “Appoint Dave Wagner to the In-House Director Position and relieve him of the Coaching /Player Development position” Dave W. is appointed by the Board as a whole.
    • Item #4 “Names for Coaching/ Player Development Position” Bobby Karnuth nominates Mel McCrory. All in attendance approve.
    • Item #5- “Parking Lot Preliminary Plans “ is accepted by the Board as a whole.
    • Item #6- “Add fundraising card cost to each player registration” passed by a vote of 4yes vs. 3no. 2 Local Advantage fundraising cards will be attached to each player Fall registration.
  • Jamie resigns from fundraising position. The Board accepts Jamie’s resignation from this position. The Position is posted by Mike to website.
  • Volunteer coordinator position is open and being posted by Mike on the website.
  • Board approves vendor list. All voted for.
  • Fundraising opportunities- July 26th rugby tournament on muhl field. We would profit field rental, concessions, etc.
Vice President
(Rick Rodgers):
  • parking plans will go to city this week. Rick is getting quotes on lawn treatment. March meeting Rick will discuss banner.
Recreation
(Sherri Schloss):
  • Date for coaches meeting not yet set. Coaches can reserve field time at that meeting.
  • Teams have been approved by GSA. There are 28 teams. Will email coaches their schedules.
  • March 15 is registration at Pinnacle. Volunteers can work shifts. It is going to be 9-5.
In-House
(Dave Wagner):
  • Everyone that will be coming in contact with the children will need to comply with kids safe application. Website on coaches corner on website linking to OYSAN website. Cost is $5 ea. Part of the program is that a code can be provided so that WASA can be billed one itemized bill. Board votes to get prepaid pass code so that they can register.
  • In-House rosters are done and numbers look good.
  • “Playing Up” will be discussed at March Meeting with Mel McCrory. A policy may be made to handle these situations.
  • Blue Sombrero site enables us to provide coaches with a condensed version of the players medical release forms. Looking in to the question of “Will this fulfill the needs of the EMT or other Emergency situation?”

Communications
(Mike Falanga):
  • Will call city in regards to banner for fall registration.
  • Needs Meeting minutes resent to be posted on website. Jamie will resend minutes.
Tournament
(Pat Cingal):
  • GSA interested in moving forward. Pat is still appointed as Tournament Director until the chair position is filled or he resigns.

Old Business

  • Spring registration dates will be end of April/ beginning of May. Better advertisement is planned.
  • WASA logo will be voted on at March Meeting.

New Business

  • James Muhl-Adult league – Adult Leagues want to know the fees for field usage so that they can decide if they want to become part of WASA. It is decided that $100 will be paid for Fall ’07 and Spring ’08. This will be revisited at a later date. Sherri S. will contact James M. with field availability.
  • Otto Orf – Hands on Soccer- soccer camps. Handsonsoccer.com . Free clinic services. Fundamental skills. Follow up manual included. This is for In house teams. Camp has option of half day and full day.
  • Mike storkel- Pinnacle sports- in house training. . Asking for an opportunity for next winter to offer skills training. Starting a Wadsworth only league may be an option. Fundraising opportunity. 330-239-2606
