Winter League Indoor Soccer Rules

 

# Of Players

1^st & 2^nd Grade League- 5v5 or max number depending on number of players that show up.

2^nd & 3^rd Grade League- 4 players max on the field at a time

5^th & 6^th Grade League- 4 players max on the field at a time

7^th & 8^th Grade League- 5 players max on the field at a time

 

General Rules

Equipment

1. Shin guards and cleats or indoor turf shoes are required. No jewelry allowed.

 

Duration Of Game

1. Game shall be played in in one half of 24 min. 5 min break between games.

2. Clock will only be stopped for injuries.

 

Start of Play

1. Kick-offs to start after each goal.

2. A Kick-off can be kicked in any direction, including backwards.

3. All kicks are Indirect (someone besides kicker must touch ball before it goes in the net), except penalties and hand balls.

4. Out of bounds on sideline is a kick-in. Players must give 3 yards of space on all kicks. Goal kicks can be taken anywhere on the back line.

 

Substitutions

1. Unlimited substitutions. Substitutions are “on the fly” during play. The player coming out must tag player coming in on the sideline before entering. Play will not stop.

2. Players who commit yellow card fouls will be asked to sit out for 2 min and any red card fouls the kid will be asked to sit until the next game. A player will be allowed to take their place.

 

Offsides

1. There are no offsides.

 

Fouls

1. Fifa rules apply to anything not mentioned above.

2. Absolutely no sliding. Indirect kick given for any sliding or direct if tackling a player.

 

Goals

1. There are no Goalies and players are not allowed in goal box area. If defender touches ball in that area it is a goal. If attacker touches ball in area it is a goal kick.
