Stormers S.C. may form teams to play in the RDYSL leagues at the U8/9 and U10 divisions. These divisions are classified as non-competitive. Our focus at these age divisions is to develop strong skill foundations and to introduce players to more competitive games, to prepare them for increased competition.
All participating players will take part in the Stormers Academy training program, which will focus on technical skill development from the fall - spring, in order to prepare the players for games and tournaments during the summer.
All training for non-competitive teams (U8/9 - U10) is provided by the Wagner Soccer Academy (SoccerClasses.com) under the management of Bob Wagner (Director of Coaching).

Team Formation: 2009 - 2010 Teams
|
|
U8/9 - U10 - *Girls and Boys born between August 1, 1999 - July 31, 2002
|
|
There are no formal try-outs to take part in the Stormers Academy.
U8/9 - U10 team formation will take place throughout the fall and early winter. Club trainers will work with all players to find appropriate opportunities for players to participate over the summer. Travel soccer is not always appropriate for boys and girls U8-U10. It is important that young players are appropriately challenged and we will make sure that we work with players and families to find the appropriate opportunity.
Providing an opportunity for all players to develop their skills is the focus of the Stormers Academy program. Our goal is to create an environment for players to learn. The Stormers Academy system will assure that these players will have the technical skill necessary, when they feel it is appropriate for them to play more competitive games.
Opportunities may include:
· U8/9-U10 RDYSL league teams that will include 12 league games and summer tournaments, U8/9-U10 travel tournament teams, or U8/9-U10 house league select teams to compete in house league select tournaments.
All coaches for non-competitive leagues will be chosen based on their ability to provide an environment that is positive in nature. Fostering a positive environment is critical for the continued development of the players.
