Tryouts are required for all Mt. Horeb Classic Teams. Click Here for a schedule and details of MHSC Classic Team tryouts.
The tryout registration fee is $20.00. Each participant will receive a numbered tryout t-shirt, which should be worn throughout the tryout process.
If you are registering a player for Classic Team tryouts, you should NOT sign them up for the Recreational League also. Depending on the results of tryouts, you will have the opportunity of accepting an offered Classic position or signing up for a Recreational team.

For Classic, State, and Regional League Teams originating from the MAYSA district participating in the 2009-2010 seasonal year.
MAYSA has established these rules with regard to competitive team tryouts in an effort to provide a consistent, fair, and equitable environment for both players and clubs in which all parties may best meet their needs and aspirations with respect to competitive soccer.
These rules will apply to any club or team forming a team to participate in Classic, State, or Regional League play during the 08-09 seasonal year.
A copy of the tryout rules should be available to all players at the time of registration or at tryouts.
Tryouts are the responsibility of each individual club. Each club may establish their own guidelines for evaluating players and compiling teams. Players and parents are strongly encouraged to ask as many questions as needed to satisfactorially answer any concerns the family might have.
Basic guidelines for teams and/or clubs hosting tryouts in order to form teams for the 09/10 Seasonal year are:

Tryout must be held between May 18 and June 20, 2009 (Boys U15 and older teams anticipating participating in classic leagues may host tryouts up until February 2, 2010.

Offers are permitted to be made to the player at the tryout.

Each offer is valid for a minimum of 24 hours. Clubs and/or teams may elect to allow additional time for an offer to be accepted at the club's discretion.
