Our recreational program will accept all children who'd like to play the game of soccer. At this level there are no "tryouts" or "selection process."  Instead Players are "blind drafted" to a team.  Our goal is to draft teams with the intent of establishing a similar mixture of talent and/or experience on each team.  

Generally recreational teams practice once weekly with a game on Saturday.  Sometimes at the older age level two weekly practices will be scheduled.  We will try but cannot guarantee scheduling siblings practices on the same evening.

A parent coach who shows willingness to learn and improve his/her coaching abilities will be assigned to each team.  The club will provide Coach's Clinics, Coaching Manuals and ongoing support from our Professional Director of Coaching and Director of Player Development.  If you are interested in Coaching please email our DOC Robert Peltram:  rpeltram@gfmsc.com

The Greater Fort Myers Soccer Club at Kelly Road Soccer Complex together with The Christian Soccer Association at Gateway are the only Official Hosts of the Gulf Coast Soccer Academy.  Greater Fort Myers has partnered with the Gulf Coast Soccer Academy to provide the best available developmental academy program in SouthWest Florida.  The staff consists of coaches from the Florida Gulf Coast Univeristy Men's and Women's Soccer Programs.  The program provides developmental academy soccer training for boys and girls from four to eighteen years of age.

At the recreational level we provide our players with age appropriate professional training periodically throughout the season and teach them all the fundamentals of soccer. 

In addition there will be opportunities in both the Fall and Spring Season for your player to take advantage of optional individual player development training provided by Gulf Coast Soccer Academy for an additional fee.  Please check their website for more information:  www.gulfcoastsocceracademy.com.

Returning Players:

All recreational players who  played last season need to simply login and sign up for the new season. All the information is still there, so there is no need to fill out forms again. If you cannot remember your user name and password contact the support hotline at 1-877-887-1042.

 

New Players: 

Please go to www.gfmsc.com  and complete the general registration process. Click on Register  in the upper right corner and follow the instructions on the site. Upon completion of registration for both parent and child, simply click on the “CLICK HERE TO REGISTER TODAY“ and signup for a program such as "U12 Girls Recreational Fall Program".  Please note that first year players must send in a copy of their birth certificate to the address listed below.
