12:30-2:00 pm:       Resident Campers Check-In at Woodruff Residential

1:30-2:15 pm:         Commuting Campers Check-In at Woodpec Arena

2:30 pm:                Camp Welcome in the Arena

2:45-5:00 pm:         Session 1-Skill Grouping

5:00 pm:                Dinner with Staff

6:00-6:30 pm:         Open Gym and Challenge Courts

6:30-9:00 pm:         Session 2 

9:05 pm:                Commuters picked up

9:05 pm:                Resident Campers back to the dorm with the staff.

9:15 pm:                Camp Store is open with Snacks, Pizza and Drinks. 

9:45 pm:                Camp Games with Camp Counselors in the Dorm Lounge/Lobby

11:00 pm:               Lights out and Bed Check by Staff

 

July 15th

7:45 am:                 Camp Wake-Up

8:15 am:                 Leave for breakfast with staff

9:00 am:                 Commuting campers dropped off for practice

9:00-11:45 am:        Session 3

11:45 am:               Lunch

12:30-2pm:             Open Gym and Movies in VIP Room off  the stage in the Arena

2:00-4:45 pm:         Session 4

5:30 pm:                 Open Gym, Movies and Challenge Matches in the arena

7:00-9:00 pm:          Session 5-Competitions

9:05 pm:                 Commuters picked up

9:05 pm:                 Resident Campers walk back to Hall with the staff

9:15 pm:                 Camp Store is open with Snacks, Pizza and Drinks.

9:45 pm:                 Camp Games with Camp Counselors in the Dorm Lounge/Lobby

11:00 pm:                Lights out and Bed Check

 

July 16th

7:45 am:                  Camp Wake-Up

8:15 am:                  Leave for breakfast with staff

9:00 am:                  Commuting campers dropped off for practice

9:00-11:45 am:         Session 6

11:45 am:                Lunch

12:30 pm:                Open Gym and Movies in VIP Room off of the stage in the Arena

1:00-2:00 pm:          Camp scavenger hunt

2:00-4:45 pm:          Session 7

5:00-7:00 pm:          Pizza Bash

7:00-9:00 pm:          Session 8-Camp Tournament Begins

9:00-9:45 pm:          Camp Trivia Night in the Woodruff PE Arena

9:45 pm                  Walk back to dorm with the Staff               

11:00 pm:                Lights out and Bed Check

 

July 17th

7:45 am:                  Camp Wake-Up

8:15 am:                  Leave for breakfast with staff

9:00-12:00 pm:         Tournament Finish

12:00 pm:                Camp Awards

12:15 noon:              Check Out from Dorm and Commuters dismissed.

If you do not have access to www.mapquest.com here are the most efficient directions.  Please ignore other sports camps signs throughout campus which could lead you to the wrong facility and follow the directions at the bottom of this page.

  

CHECK-OUT: July 17th

Camp will conclude June 20th at approximately 12 noon.  A tournament and an awards ceremony will take place the last day of camp.  Commuter campers are dismissed at the conclusion of the awards ceremony.  Parents are invited to attend camp at any time.

Resident campers will check-out immediately after the awards ceremony at the dorm.  Resident campers must turn in their dorm key, meal card and any other necessary items at this time.

 

Note:  Please know that a lost key will require a payment of $85.00.

Parking:

Please park in the Peavine Parking Deck directly across from the Woodruff Physical Education Bld.  If the gates are down, press # as you pull up and identify yourself as a volleyball camper.  Parking passes will be given at Check-in for those driving to camp each day.

 

WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP

Kneepads, water bottle, extra t-shirt and shorts.

Resident - in addition to items above, linens for single bed, pillow, personal items, bath towels are necessary.

 

SPENDING MONEY

You may want to bring extra spending money for snacks and the camp apparel store.

 

MEALS

Meals will take place in Dobbs University Center, just across the street from the Woodruff P. E. Center.  All-you-can-eat hot entrees, sandwich deli, pasta, salads, beverages and desserts are available.  Emory Volleyball Camp staff will accompany the campers at all times.  However, for dinner on the last night we will have a pizza party for the entire camp followed by the beginning of the Tournament!

  

 

Directions to the Woodruff Residential Hall for Resident Campers

 

From the south or north: I-85, take the Clairmont Road exit. Turn east towards Decatur on Clairmont Road and follow it approximately 3 miles to North Decatur Road. Turn right on North Decatur Road, then turn right on Clifton Road, pass the Emory University Hospital, cross over Haygood/Asbury Circle, go 200 yards and you will see the Woodruff Complex on the Right.  You can park in the back of the complex.  1495 Clifton Road

Directions to the Woodruff Physical Education Center for Commuters

From the south or north: on I-85, take the Clairmont Road exit. Turn east on Clairmont towards Decatur and follow it approximately 3 miles to North Decatur Road. Turn right and follow North Decatur approximately one mile to the Emory campus.  Turn Right on Clifton Road and go past the Emory Hospital.  Make a left on to Asbury Circle (it will be Haygood going right) Follow Asbury Circle to the 2nd stop sign and go to the right when you hit the fork in the road that is Eagle/Fraternity Row.  Go approximately ¼ mile and at your 2nd stop sign will be the Peavine Deck that you can park in.  The gate will be open.  The Woodruff Physical Education Building will be on left across the street from the Peavine Parking Deck.

From the east or west: Via I-20, take the Moreland Avenue North exit. Turn north on Moreland and follow it approximately 3 miles, at which point it becomes Briarcliff Road. Continue straight on Briarcliff approximately 2 miles to North Decatur Road. Turn east (right) and follow North Decatur two approximately 1.5 miles and make a left on Clifton Road and go past the Emory Hospital.  Make a left on to Asbury Circle (it will be Haygood going right) Follow Asbury Circle to the 2nd stop sign and go to the right when you hit the fork in the road that is Eagle/Fraternity Row.  Go approximately ¼ mile and at your 2nd stop sign will be the Peavine Deck that you can park in.  The gate will be open.  The Woodruff Physical Education Building will be on left across the street from the Peavine Parking Deck.
