Arsenal U16 Girls Premier Win GSA Super Cup

The Augusta Arsenal '92 Girls Premier team won the championship of the U17 division of the GSA Super Cup over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.  The girls defeated AFC Lightning U17 and Henry County Thunder U17 in the opening round.  The team then beat defending state champion GSA Phoenix '92 in the semifinal on their way to claiming the championship with a penalty kick shootout victory over GSA Phoenix '91.

Arsenal to Hold Annual Tryouts

The Augusta Arsenal Soccer Club has announced tryout dates for the 2000-09 soccer season.  Tryouts are open to all interested players and are free of charge.  Please print out a Tryout Registration Form and bring a completed copy with you on the designated date of your tryout.

U14 Girls Gold Win Charlotte United Tournament

The Augusta Arsenal 93 Gold Girls won their division of the Julian Brown Memorial Cup sponsored by Charlotte United Soccer Club this past weekend.  The team defeated South Charlotte 93 White, 5-1 and Twin City 93 Blue, 1-0 in the opening round games Saturday.  The girls defeated Pleasure Island 93 Hurricanes, 3-2 in the semi-final game and won the championship with a 5-3 victory over Matthews USA 93 Gold in the final.

Three Teams win Arsenal Shootout Titles

The U14 Boys Gold, U13 Girls and U12 Girls all won Shootout Tournament Titles this past weekend in Augusta.  The Augusta Arsenal Shootout, in its 24th year, included over 75 teams from Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.  In addition to the three tournament Champions, four more Arsenal teams were tournament Finalists including the U14 Girls Gold, U13 Boys Gold, U12 Girls and U11 Boys.
