The Augusta Arsenal Soccer Club (AASC) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1982 to provide outstanding area soccer players the opportunity to play at a higher level. The original mission of the club is still very much alive, and other priorities have been adopted. These include educating recreational coaches, educating club coaches, providing camps and clinics for recreational and club players, as well as fielding over 24 select teams.

    Our current select program consists of 23 youth teams which are referred to as Gunners.  The  Gunners teams range from U-9 to U-19. The majority of these teams compete in the Classic I, Classic II, Athena A, and Athena B divisions; the upper echelons in the Georgia Youth Soccer Association. Apart from club activities, the AASC is one of the top 10 clubs in Georgia in terms of State Olympic Development Program representation.

    Player development is a primary mission of club, and colleges and universities have routinely recruited Arsenal players. Some of these include Furman University, Brown University, Augusta State University, Lander College, University of South Carolina, College of Charleston, Princeton University, Southern Methodist University, Lock Haven University, Mercer University, Georgia Southern University, Clemson University, and Georgia State University.

    With over 300 registered club players and a 7-field facility, the AASC is the leading soccer club in the Central Savannah River Area. The AASC is governed by a Board of Directors and currently employs a full-time Director of Coaching.  Additionally, the club employs over 25 professionally licensed part-time trainers.
