Dear Coaches & Prospective Coaches,

I would like to take this opportunity to offer coaching courses in the Uniontown area.  This e-mail is an inquiry as to the number of coaches that would be available to attend such clinics.  Once we get a certain number of coaches, we will then be able to set the dates and times of the clinics.

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) is a globally recognized coaches’ organization dedicated to member services, education, awards programs, and the pursuit of excellence at all levels of the game.  This organization offers multiple levels of coaching certifications.  The entry level courses include the State Diploma and the Regional Diploma.  I currently hold an Advanced Regional Diploma through the NSCAA.  The NSCAA is an alternative to the United States Soccer Federation’s coaching methodology.  You can find out find out more information on the different diplomas by visiting http://www.nscaa.com/nrc.php

The diplomas we plan on offering are the State and Regional Diplomas.  This offer is extended to all that are willing to further their coaching education.  Whether you are an in-house coach, travel coach, or are just interested in coaching, this is a wonderful opportunity to advance your knowledge.  The costs are as follows:  State Diploma ($35.00), Regional Diploma ($60.00).  We would offer the State Diploma at a date previous to the Regional Diploma, giving coaches the opportunity to upgrade from their State Diploma.

Advancing your knowledge of the game and how to facilitate the game through coaching is essential to the development of our youth soccer players.  The emphasis for soccer players at a young age should be on development rather than winning.  This is why I hope most of you will allocate some time to take the vital steps in developing our soccer club into a well respected and recognized organization for players to learn and coaches to teach.  I believe through the proper understanding of the game and development at the youth level, these steps will allow our soccer players to have a more legitimate chance at success and help them to be more competitive at the premier, high school and collegiate levels.

Thank you in advance for your time.  Please respond if you are interested in any of these opportunities.  If you have any questions about the NSCAA or any general coaching questions, please feel free to contact me at your discretion.  I will be happy to help you out!

 Yours in Soccer,   Steve Weiss
