MOSA GENERAL MEETING MINUTES
Date:  August 27, 2009

Board Absent:  None

Clubs Absent:   Allentown/Upper Freehold, Long Branch YS, Manalapan SC, Millstone United TS, Old Bridge Boys SL, Pinelands SA, Stafford Soccer Club, TRIC

               

Call to Order:  8:00 pm by Ben Curci, President

 

Accepted Reports:  Minutes 1^st East Windsor 2^nd TRSA

                                  Treasurer 1^st Hazlet 2^nd Ocean

President:             Nothing.

 

1st VP:                  No report.

2nd VP:               The Jewish holiday on September 19-20^th is a legitimate reason to not play a scheduled game.  Teams will have two weeks to make the game up.

 

MOSA CUP:         Fall MOSA Cup is U11-U13.  First round to be completed by September 26^th, second round by October 10^th, third round by October 24^th and final round on November 5^th at Lincroft Acres in Middletown.

 

Select:                    Issues with getting the select team off the ground this season with two tryouts.  Had enough for six teams but ended up with four in the end.  Different ways to increase the loyalty to the program need to be investigated.  Al Grupper will form a three person committee that will discuss between now and next general meeting.  We would like to get info out to clubs by October.      

 

State:                   Coaches who are on more then 1 team  need to place there full card number on all rosters.

 

Referee:                Ref courses have been completed and 400 new referees have passed.  Recertification’s have been posted for 2010 on line.

 

Old Business:     None.

                               

New Business:    Staten Island now has a home field at Raritan Bay Waterfront Park in South Amboy.   Howell Soccer Club’s new fields are now open and in use.

 

Other Business:  None.
