Training Tomorrows Players Today
The North United
Classic Soccer (NUCS) would like to welcome you and your player to your
program. Please read carefully this commitment letter and ask any questions
that you may have prior to signing.
Let it be understood that your player is being made an
offer to participate on the NUCS Boys / Girls __________ team for the season
starting 9/1/20___ – 8/31/20___. . I
Let it also be understood that by a deposit will be
required to hold your spot on the team and that all fees must be paid on time
to be in good standing with the Club. Team
fees and deposit requirements can be found in our Financial Agreements Pages on
the web site.
What to expect from NUCS:
A positive learning environment: It is expected that all coaches’ parents and players will
maintain a positive attitude at all times.
Negative attitudes and behavior will not be tolerated by anyone
associated with the program. After one
formal warning the violator will be removed from the program. Team and Club chemistry is too important to
allow any internal problems. Our clubs
reputation is critical to our mission and we will not allow anyone to tarnish
it.
Fair play: Players will earn their playing time by
attendance and work effort. Playing
time is at the coaches’ discretion.
Reasonable fees:
Each year the board sits down to establish a fee schedule that will provide our
coaching staff a fair reward for their time and efforts as well as provide
field space for training both indoor and out and all other Club related
expenses.
What NUCS expects from the parents:
Be on time: Until
your player is old enough to drive we expect you to have them at all activities
on time. That means that if practice
starts at 6 PM they are on the field warming up at 6 not pulling in
driveway and still need to put on their shoes.
Be active: on your
team and in the club. We will hold at
least one general meeting a season. At
that time we will ask that you participate in some way for the good of the
program.
Be supportive:
Winning and losing all part of the game.
Be supportive of your player other team members and your coaches. Direct all problems to a board member. A list is on the web site.
Pay your dues on time: Our team administrators do not like to chase folks for
money. You will be given a fee schedule
and an address to send it to. If you
should have a financial hardship you need to call the Club president before the
payment is due. Every effort will be
made to assist anyone with financial difficulties. However, we do have a no pay
no play policy. The team budget is based
on the full roster paying on time. A $50.00 late fee can be added 10 days
after any payment is due.
Commitment to the team: It is expected that your player will attend all
practices, games, and events sponsored by the program. Very few excuses are expectable for
missing. If you miss more that 10 % of a season activity for unexcused reasons then they can be
suspended from play.
Recruit: to the
program all players that you think are of the caliber ready for classic
soccer. Current parents and players are
our best sources of new players. If you
like what we are doing tell others if not tell us.
What NUCS expects from players:
Be receptive to learning: new skills and methods of play. Realize that you are part of a team. Be respectful of other players’ coaches and
parents.
Maintain good grades: Any player not meeting at least the minimum academic standards to play
on their school team will be ineligible to participate in any team
activity. Parents will make the decision
as to when you can or can not participate.
Maintain a positive attitude and behavior: Good discipline is important to success in all activities
in life. It is expected that you will
maintain good discipline both on and off the field. Any problems related to poor attitude or
behavior will be subject to suspension from the program until a board review
can be held. Any use of tobacco,
alcohol, drugs or other illegal substances will result in a dismissal from the
program. No exceptions. Fighting of any kind either on or off the
field will not be tolerated. A minimum of a two game suspension will be imposed
for any violent acts.
Practice: If
you expect to be a great player on a great team you must practice every chance
you get. If all you do is practice at team practice then you will not develop
enough to stay on the team. You should
try to work with your ball every day.
Juggling, dribbling, trapping, and fakes.
