Last Day of Recreation Soccer - Saturday, November 07, 2009
The last game of the Fall 2009 Recreation soccer season will be played on November 21st for Kinder Kickers, Little Strikers, All first/second grade divisions, and all third/fourth grade divisions.  The last games of the season for all other divisions is November 14th.  
Food Drive - Monday, November 02, 2009

FOOD DRIVE-November 7 (Rain date: November 14)
With all the holidays swiftly approaching, The Human Needs Pantry needs us.  Please help us to fill the shelves at Montclair’s local Human Needs Food Pantry.  We need your donations of non-perishable, unexpired, food.  On November 7 (Rain date: November 14) we will be collecting food at each of the fields in Montclair.  Look for the big boxes and balloons at each location.

All staples gratefully accepted.  The food pantry cannot accept dented cans or food that is not labeled.

Montclair Winter Indoor Soccer - Futsal - registration is open - Saturday, October 17, 2009
The Montclair Winter Indoor Soccer program for 1st-5th grade boys and girls (coed) is going to be a Futsal league beginning this year. Futsal is a fast, fun, popular indoor game that is played with larger goals and a smaller, less bouncy ball that players can easily control. The focus is on fluid passing and quick footwork. Great for skill development, and a great introduction to soccer for new players.

Registration is open from now until mid-December, or until the divisions fill up. The league begins January 9 and runs until March 20, with games every Saturday except January 16. All games are held in the Mt. Hebron Middle School gym. The cost is $50.

Lightning and Thunder Rule - Friday, October 02, 2009
Rain is likely Saturday.  Check here at the MUSC website or call (973) 783-MUSC for cancelations.  We often play in the rain.  Games may be canceled due to a combination of factors, such as field conditions,intensity of rain, and wind.  However, we do NOT play if there is lightning or thunder. 
The "THUNDER or LIGHTNING RULE"  :  If you hear thunder or see lightning, all games stop for 30 minutes after the last occurrence of thunder or lightning.   Play may resume if there is remaining time in the scheduled match.  If the stoppage extends beyond the original scheduled end time for the game, it will not be resume.

Late registrants can not be gaurunteed team mate requests, as teams have already been formed.  Many programs are already full to capacity.
