Letter to Parents from WYAA President, Dave Brouilette                            April 27, 2009

Dear Soccer Parents, 

   WYAA Wolcott Soccer Board is proud and excited to announce our new soccer program for your kids. We have partnered with SoccerPlus FC, a company located in Farmington, CT to bring Wolcott Soccer to new heights. This partnership will concentrate on the education and development of coaches, players and our program as a whole. The approach will be a strong emphasis on the recreational program which in turn will filter through to the competitive program. To further strengthen our soccer club, we have partnered with Blue Sombrero, an online registration and website host. Our website will be the focal point of registration and an excellent communication tool. These partnerships are designed to improve the Wolcott soccer experience and make the job of soccer parents easier.
   The program will start in June with evaluations of all players, aged 8 through 13, interested in Fall 2009 instructional or competitive soccer. Players must attend an evaluation to ensure that a baseline is established for each player to be used in creating training programs for players, coaches and teams. Interested soccer players under the age of 8 will register online at a later date and will be placed on a team without evaluation. 
   Following evaluations, each child will be placed in either our competitive or instructional group. If placed in our competitive group your child may be invited to attend a competitive tryout to be scheduled later in the month. After evaluations, families will be notified as to where their child has been placed and online registration and payment will then take place. Online registration is expected to take place between June 15 and June 30, 2009. After June 30, 2009 a late fee of $30 will be added.

Payments for Fall 2009 
-  $55 for U5 Instructional/In-House players.
- $65 for Instructional/In-House players 5 and up (5 years old and above on August 1, 2009).
- $80 for all Competitive/Travel players.
- For families with 3 or more children, $30 will be deducted from the total for child 3 and above.

   Please attend one of the evaluations below with your soccer player(s). Each player must have shin guards to participate. Evaluations only take an hour. Dates and times are as follows:
- Monday June 1, 2009 at 6pm or 7:15pm at Wolcott High School.
- Thursday June 4, 2009 at 6pm or 7:15pm at Wolcott High School.
- Sunday June 7, 2009 at 5pm or 6:15pm at Wolcott High School.
- Tuesday June 9, 2009 at 6pm or 7:15pm at Wolcott High School.

Online Registration Opens June 15!
Both for the In-House/Instructional and Competitive/Travel Programs. Click on REGISTER NOW on the top left of this webpage to begin. Payments can be made online with your Credit Card (at no additional charge) or you can pay by check after your registration is complete. Checks must be mailed within 10 days to activate your registration and keep your childs spot for the season.  If you are registering more than 2 children you are eligible for a family discount of $30 for each child after the 2nd [i.e. 3 children = $30 discount, 4 children = $60 discount]. To take advantage of this discount, please choose "Pay by Check" after registration and apply the discount accordingly. 

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING PHOTO'S & BIRTH CERTIFICATES:
We cannot take the required birth certicates or players photos electronically. Please be sure to mail these within 10 days of registration no matter what form of payment you have used. Please address any registration related documents, payments or questions to:
