As part of our commitment to enhancing communications and to stay current with CAN SPAM compliance, we have added some great new enhancements to our Newsletters module.  In addition, these changes will help to ensure the deliverability of your emails.  Many mail providers are becoming more and more stringent on their delivery guidelines.

Opt Out and Unsubscribe Option

Now your members can unsubscribe from your emails in one click!  Every email sent through the Newsletters module will have a footer added to it with a link to unsubscribe.

Friendly From Name

When you are composing your Newsletters, we’ve added a new field called From (name).  This is a “friendly name” that is displayed to the user.  We STRONGLY encourage you to make use of this field as it will help ensure deliverability and that your email is actually read.  For example, you may put Soccer FC as the From (name).  This is much more recognizable to people then just an email address like office@soccerfc.com.  Notice in the picture below that the name appears as UR Soccer Club.

Manage Subscriptions and Opt Outs

Managing opt outs is easy.  You can opt people out as the admin or you can opt people back in as well.
