 Uniqueness Check for Account Email

Our customers have often said they have quite a few parents end up with multiple accounts every year. Usually they forget their username or password from the previous year, and end up creating a new account from scratch. After a few years, that can get pretty confusing both for the parent as well as the club administrators.

In an effort to reduce the number of duplicate accounts created each season, Blue Sombrero has added a uniqueness check on the email address associated with new accounts.

When a parent completes the first page of registration, filling out their primary contact information and email address, the system will check to see if the email address entered is already associated with another account. If the answer is yes, then the parent will be given the option to either have their previous account information emailed to them or to continue creating a new account.

As always, nothing needs to be done by the club to activate this new feature. Everything is already setup and running on your site!
