Whenever I see one of our club partners giving back to their community, I think it is important to help spread the word about the ways in which clubs can give back to their communities. One of our partners in Florida, Cape Coral Soccer Association, has joined with the Cape Coral Caring Center to help quell the high demand for holiday volunteers and gift items.

CCSA recently sent the following to their members:

“The Executive Board of the Cape Coral Soccer Association is asking that its Recreational Players assist us in a food drive to benefit the Cape Coral Caring Center.

The Center provides assistance to needy families in Cape Coral and is expecting more requests than usual during this holiday season. We are asking that you bring a non-perishable food item to the Pelican Soccer Complex during your practice and game days next week. (No glass containers, please.)

Just think...if every player brought just one item, there would be over 1,000 items to help fill their pantry! That would be AWESOME!!!!”
