September was Youth Soccer Month, and Blue Sombrero is celebrating by unveiling the winner of the contest for the Blue Sombrero Club of the Month as well as hosting an event for Administrators, Board Members, Directors of Coaching and Staff in our area. Polls close for nominations for the Club of the Month today at 6pm EST, and the event will take place this upcoming Tuesday, October 5th, at 7:30pm EST.

The event will include keynote speakers Jon Rydarowski, who will discuss the family journey in college soccer recruiting, and Billy Hartman, who will discuss international training opportunities. There will be free food (catered by Vickery’s at Glenwood) and drinks, as well as a foosball tournament! We will also announce the winner of the Blue Sombrero Club of the Month contest, so stay tuned to find out the winner!

The real thrust of the event is to get clubs together to meet in a relaxed atmosphere and discuss important aspects of running a club, particularly the ideas behind Youth Soccer Month - Fun, Family, Friendship and Fitness. And hey, who doesn’t love a good party?
