Setting Up Practices Through the Scheduler

Blue Sombrero recently revamped our Scheduler tool to make it look cleaner and operate easier. With this feature, clubs can not only schedule games for teams within their organization, they can also create practice schedules for all of their teams.
In a few simple steps, admins can input field information and set up a season’s worth of practices for all of their teams. Here is how easy it is:
- Create Fields and Locations. This will be the base of where you will be setting up events.
- Create Scheduling Groups. You can group teams based on any criteria off of which you will be scheduling them. Groups will consist of teams from a single, or multiple Programs and Divisions.
- Schedule your Group Events. This is where you build your Practice schedule.
From Scheduling Events, you will select the group in which you will be scheduling your practices for.
Setting up the basic details of your Practices is easy. Simply name your event, assign it as either a Game or Practice schedule, and designate how much automation the system will do for you. You can pair teams only, or you can automate pairing teams with dates, times, and fields! If events are paired only, the next steps will be done by you, manually!!
Some additional details are required such as the dates of the first and last practices, what time of day practices will run, and what days of the week the events should be scheduled for.
The last step is to assign what fields and locations the practices should be assigned to. You will check from the locations already created and then you are done!
Once the schedule is created, you can manually edit dates, times, and locations at any point. Schedules can also be posted to the website and/or Team Pages for parents and players to view!
