We’ve made a great update to the Payment Plan feature - partial refunds!
Partial refunds can be done in two ways:
- Third Party Merchant Accounts - those who manage their own merchant accounts can refund a partial amount directly to a parent’s credit card. If the amount paid on an installment was $100.00, the Admin can now refund anywhere from $1.00 to the full $100.00 back to the credit card.
- Using Blue Sombrero as the Merchant Account - clubs who do not manage their own merchant account can now refund a partial payment via check. If the amount paid on an installment was $50.00, the Admin can now refund anywhere from $1.00 to the full $50.00 back to the parent by sending them a check.
Go to Admin → Order Management → Orders, search the order in question. When it pops up click on “Refund.” You see the screen bellow and where it says Refund you can now adjust the amount! Rather than refunding the full order back to their credit card, or check, you can give back a partial amount. This is a great enhancement for many clubs who use Payment Plans and who need to give partial credit card, or check, refunds.
